Quite simply this training guide has helped me place in my Oly distance tris. I have followed the tips and workouts and in one year of doing tris I ended up qualifying for the US national AG Oly distance tri. The workouts are detailed and simple to follow. If you compare this to any workout written in the multitudes of tri sources, it provides a very affordable and customizable training guide. The tips, workouts, and workout loads (heart rate/RPE) are very well explained. Regardless if you are a first timer wanting to finish your first tri or are more experienced and want that extra power/endurance to potentially carry you to the podium, this is the trainer/app to do it!!! I have also been able to contact Jamima via email and have gotten advice/tips from her. Name any other trainer where you can contact a distinguished pro and get help! This app is worth it and it works!
I did my first tri this past weekend. I am very happy with my results. This app got me well prepared in every aspect of the race. Even my transitions were smooth and quick as I knew exactly what to expect. This app is easy to follow. Just put in your race date and your current skill levels and it will tell you what to do when. I have already recommended this app to some of my friends. Thank you Jamaco for getting me into the tri world!
Used this to start from scratch in triathlons... Works brilliantly... Good way to keep disciplined about training schedules... Turned in a great time and 5th place on my first race... Recommend this as a great way into the sport.
This is probably a great app if you are training for an oly. Unfortunately Im training for a 70.3 and this app is useless to me. Will still try to use it to track workouts.
Like it says in the box, its designed for an Olympic distance Tri, not a 70.3. I used it, I raced, and I finished! Very happy with the app. Doesnt get bogged down in complexity but has a lot if great info.
For those of us who cant stretch to the cost of a real coach, this is a great app that I employed to train for my first Olympic triathlon. The workouts are well explained, easy to follow with simple access to explanations of what each drill entails. The training plan adjusts to your level of capability and can be adjusted to fit your own personal schedule. If you have the motivation to stick with the plans, you will be well prepared for the race and I highly recommend it.
As I looked deeper into this app, I felt that the workouts were just too "easy". My high hopes were dwindled quickly. It is great for the true beginner, but if you plan on going sub 2:20 you may want to reconsider purchasing this app. However, if you are in need of help for workouts to do in a planned manner this app is good. Again, if need be youll have to "up" the difficulty level yourself. Take less rest, put more effort into swim sets, rides and runs.
As a newer person to the sport of triathlon, I have a lot to learn and this app is helping me with that. Tons of information and quick links to that information. If you forget what something means or dont understand something, you click on the link and it takes you back for a quick look. I was a little disappointed to see they didnt have any training for Ironman or 1/2 Ironman distances, but I contacted the support team and they said it was in the works. Good response time and they offered additional help. Seems like a solid company and I wish them much future success. Thanks for the help and keep up the good work.
App freezes when setting race day and/or day off. Using iPhone 5s.
I really would like to try this app. especially, after purchasing it however,i cant make it past setting my profile up because it freezes every time! Extremely disappointed !
So lame. Didnt say that anywhere before purchasing. Not happy with this purchase...feel totally tricked.
Agree with previous comment - only for Olympic distance - thought I try to see if updated but no- not worth it - get an Excel Spreadsheet and just add ten minutes each week - should be removed or give money back
This app is really handy. I just wish it had the ability to black or gray out a workout you completed on a certain day of the week so you know from a glance that you already did it. Sometimes I cant complete a set workout on that specific day but do it another day. I know you can shuffle the days but it never works out exactly how you do it.
